Ukkelberg, Erle E. Easton, MD, passed away on October 31, 2009 in his sleep at the age of 75. Born in Wahpeton, North Dakota, he spent his early years in Minneapolis, MN, where he earned his degree in Agriculture from the University of Minnesota in 1954. Upon graduation, he entered the U.S. Air Force, where he flew B-52 Bombers and ran air traffic in Taiwan during 1956. In 1958, Erle joined Deere and Co. and, like his father, worked in sales, later transferring to the new Timonium, MD industrial sales branch, where he became Vice President and General Manager. He retired in 1982, and he and his wife, the late Jean (Haggquist) Ukkelberg, moved to the Eastern Shore in 1986. He loved hunting geese, fishing for blue fish and crabbing. He is survived by his three children: Robert Ukkelberg and Anne Sindler, both of Baltimore, and Susan Ukkelberg of Easton, MD, his sister, Mary Williams, of Ft. Pierce, FL, and two grandsons. A funeral will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, November 7, 2009 at Christ Church in St. Michael's, MD.
