The Twins-Cleveland game scheduled for 7:10 p.m. Wednesday at Target Field has been postponed because of rain.

The game will be made up as part of a day-night doubleheader on June 17, the team announced.

Leftthander Adalberto Mejia was slated to start for the Twins. His start will be pushed back, and ace righthander Ervin Santana will pitch Thursday afternoon's series finale against Cleveland's Trevor Bauer.

Since opening Target Field in 2010, the Twins have experienced 33 delayed games and 16 postponements at home.

Last season was the most foul of them all. There were 11 rain delays at Target Field in 2016, with three games called off.

There have been at least three rain delays each season at Target Field except the first, when there was only one.
