If the Timberwolves keep their seventh overall pick, here are four players — all college freshmen a season ago — they will consider in addition to any of five point guards projected to be selected among the top 10 on Thursday:

Jonathan Isaac, F, Florida State: A skinny 6-10 forward with a center's reach, guard skills and a tantalizing upside. He's projected to defend as many as four positions in the pros.

Lauri Markkanen, F, Arizona: Considered one of the best shooters in the past several drafts, the 7-foot Finn invites comparisons to Dirk Nowitzki with his jumper and international pedigree.

Malik Monk, G, Kentucky: The undersized shooting guard with great range scored 47 points against North Carolina last season. He has top-five talent but could drop to the seven spot.

Zach Collins, C, Gonzaga: He projects as a mobile two-way "stretch" big man who will play a bigger role in the NBA than he did in college. The Wolves probably would trade down if they take him.

Don't forget these point guards: North Carolina State's Dennis Smith and France's Frank Ntilikina.
