A bomb threat at Weaver Elementary School in Maplewood led authorities to evacuate and search the building Friday afternoon before declaring the school safe.

Maplewood police said nothing was found and posted on Twitter Friday that the school, located at 2135 Birmingham St., "has been cleared."

District officials sent a letter to parents about the threat, writing that they have "limited information regarding this incident." The school received the bomb threat at the end of the school day after buses had already departed. School officials then called 911 before helping police evacuate remaining students and staff members from the building, according to the letter.

The letter says the incident remains under investigation.
