Commenter Stu, whose bit on Joe Buck and Darren Sharper a couple days ago might be one of the three funniest comments ever on this blog, alleges to be taking care of a sick child today (hangover) and cannot therefore perform his usual Hunt Down (husbandly) duties. But he did pass along some bullet point commentary. Stu?

ITEM: Reusse's Twitter speculates that a Mauer extension may be announced to kick off this weekend's TwinsFest. Does this make you giddy with excitement, or at the very least help you put the events of last Sunday out of your mind?

ITEM: Have you ever been to the TwinsFest? I myself have not, but have a mental picture of Nick Punto parking your car for you, Ron Coomer asking you if you you're going to finish those nachos, and Gardy flipping his keys to one of the clubhouse guys to make a beer run for later. Is this anywhere close to reality?

ITEM: Hockey! I've been told the Wild have played themselves back into playoff contention.

Is this accurate?

ITEM: Clarence didn't recommend a country song in his Tuesday screed. Might I recommend "January Wedding" by the Avett Brothers? It's good.

ITEM: If you're not reading Rocket's broadsides against yours truly in the comments, you're missing some inspired stuff.

ITEM: Yo Gabba Gabba! is on right now. As other parents will no doubt attest, "There's a Party in My Tummy" will drive you to the edge of madness.

Have your kind of Thursday!

And finally, compare that picture at the top -- Local Quipster, on a far out, Far East vacation, watched "The Big Lebowski" in Cambodia with subtitles -- and now look at Local Quipster at right in his Sobchak glasses. Dios mio, man.
