U.S. Bank Stadium will follow up the mother of all sporting events, Super Bowl LII, with the queen of the modern pop music world and what should be the biggest concert tour of 2018.

Taylor Swift has announced a Sept. 1 date at the Minneapolis football palace on her Reputation Stadium Tour, which kicks off May 28 in Arizona. The tour announcement follows Friday's release of her sixth album, "Reputation," which is on track to sell a million copies in its first week and could be her hottest-selling album yet, according to Billboard.

Tickets for the tour don't go on sale to the general public until Dec. 13, giving fans until Nov. 28 to sign up for the so-called Taylor Swift Tix program via Ticketmaster Verified – her own unique way of combatting scalpers. The program happens to require that subscribers hand over their mobile phone number and sign up for her mailing list. Prices for tickets have not yet been announced.

While we're not staking our own reputation on it, there are open days on both sides of Swift's Minneapolis date that would allow for a second show to be added should the first one sell out. She easily packed Xcel Energy Center three nights in a row in 2015.

Swift, 27, turned off critics and some fans alike with the first single from the new album, "Look What You Made Me Do," a heavy-handed, electronic-flavored kiss-off to some of the famous folks who've been less-than-peachy to her. But reviews of the record are relatively strong, and fans warmed up more to the second single, "Ready for It?"

Here's a clip of her performing the latter tune on "Saturday Night Live" this past weekend.
