Cocktail tours

Cocktail tours: From 6:30-8 p.m. on six evenings, tours of the exhibit will be offered, with appetizers, cocktails and conversation on a variety of Nordic subjects. Tickets are $50-$55. The dates and topics are as follows:

June 10: Skål with style (aquavit and drinking songs)

June 30: Nordic comfort food (think fish cakes and mutton pickled in milk)

July 7: Nordic food preservation (beyond pickled and smoked)

July 15: Tools of the trade (from root cellars to climbing equipment)

July 24: Seafarers (herring and beyond)

Aug. 5: Skål with style (aquavit and food culture)

Other events

June 15 and July 1, 6-8:30 p.m. The modern Nordic supper (more than meatballs), recipes inspired by "The Nordic Cookbook" by Magnus Nilsson, taught by Patrice Johnson. Tickets $65-$75 (includes one drink).
