Grilling and growing

Bachman's The Great Outdoors event offers tips and techniques for grilling as well as how to build a fire pit and summer lawn and shrub care. Stone Arch Bridge bash

One-of-a-kind art for your home is just one of the offerings at the Stone Arch Bridge Festival, June 16-18. The free event features family activities and performances, live music and Art of the Car Show. Artists will display and sell works in ceramics, glass, printmaking, mixed and digital media, drawings, paintings, fine crafts and photography, as well as jewelry and wearables. Larry Baker, owner of Think Stucco, will talk about stucco materials, styles and repairs and offer help for homeowners' problems from 6:30 to 8 p.m. June 15 at the Natural Built Home Store, 4020 Minnehaha Av. Edible landscaping combines ornamental and edible plants and results in a beautiful, delicious property. At a class called "Edible Landscaping: Blending Beauty with Bounty," learn how to create an edible landscape on your property by making good plant choices, creatively mixing and matching for a desired look and how to plan for sustainability, 9:30 to 11 a.m. June 17.
