Don't ask Chuck... The Wolves get their first look this season at defending champion Miami and they can decide for themselves who's right: Charles Barkley or LeBron James.

Barkley says James' teammate Dwyane Wade is starting to lose his athletic ability, doesn't have the same explosiveness and is resorting to fadeaway jumpers.

James' response to NBA.com: "Charles Barkley needs to shut up. I mean, the man [Wade] is shooting 80 percent from the floor the last couple games. That's like crazy, right? That's why he is who he is. Unbelievable."

Loves him some Shved Timberwolves guard Alexey Shved moved into the starting lineup Friday in New Orleans now that Malcolm Lee is out indefinitely, and there he very well might stay alongside returning Ricky Rubio for multiple reasons.

Foremost: The rookie is good.

"Our guys love him," Denver coach George Karl said of team management. "He's an interesting player. When I first saw him, I thought he looked like Rubio a little bit. He has that long, lanky stride. He doesn't see the court like Ricky does, but he has a great presence with the ball. And he doesn't have much fear."

Wolves now the popular pick Remember when the Wolves never were on national television? Now they will be on twice in three days this week: Tuesday's game at Miami on NBA TV and Thursday's TNT home game against Oklahoma City with a special 6 p.m. start time.

Tuesday's game was added when fans picked Wolves-Heat over Celtics-Bulls 40 percent to 39 percent in Internet voting for NBA TV's weekly Tuesday "Fan Night."
