THE NEED FOR 'SHEDE

Here is a look at the career and potential future for Ra'Shede Hageman, a 6-6, 311-pound senior defensive tackle:

High school: Helped lead Minneapolis Washburn to the state tournament for the first time in 10 years as a junior in 2007, making a game-clinching tackle on a two-point conversion attempt by St. Thomas Academy in the final seconds of a 42-41 victory. ... Was primarily a tight end and caught 11 TD passes as a senior. Was ranked the No. 1 tight end prospect in the country by recruiting guru Tom Lemming.

College: Converted from tight end to defensive line and has thrived as a defensive tackle under coach Jerry Kill. Had a breakout season in 2012 with 35 tackles and six sacks, earning honorable-mention all-Big Ten honors from the conference media.

Pros: Is projected as a high-round pick in the 2014 draft. CBSsports.com lists him as the No. 43 overall prospect and predicts he will be chosen in the second round. NFLdraft-scout.com ranks him the No. 2 defensive tackle prospect in the country.
