Prior Lake went on an 11-0 run late in the first half to overtake Class 4A, No. 1 East Ridge and led almost the rest of the way for a 70-62 victory in the Breakdown Tip Off Classic at Hopkins High School.

After scoring 11 consecutive points, the Class 4A, No. 6 Lakers took a 25-22 lead. The Raptors were able to take a small lead early in the second half, but could not hold onto it. The Raptors could only get to within four points with 28.4 seconds left.

Dawson Garcia led the Lakers with 25 points and 15 rebounds. Sam Nissen and Robert Jones had 13 points each for the Lakers. Courtney Brown and Kendall Brown scored 20 points each to lead the Raptors.

Park Center 49, Eden Prairie 46: David Ijadimbola made a three-point shot from the top of the arc with less than three seconds remaining to give the Class 4A, No. 5 Pirates the victory over the Class 4A, No. 4 Eagles in the Tip Off Classic. The Pirates overcame a six-point halftime deficit.

Boys' hockey

Benilde-St. Margaret's 3, Hermantown 2: Jackson Bisson's first varsity goal early in the third period was the difference for the Red Knights. Drew Sams scored his second goal later in the period for the Hawks. Ian Bahr and Cooper Gay also scored for Benilde-St. Margaret's.

Minnetonka 2, Duluth Marshall 1: Griffin Streeter's third-period power-play goal capped the Skippers come-from-behind victory against the Hilltoppers. Cole Maccoux scored the game's first goal in the second for Duluth Marshall off an assist from Aiden Bachand. Grant Docter tied the score six minutes later. Hunter Newhouse and Jack Bayless assisted.

Osseo 4, Armstrong 3: Ty Hill had a hat trick with three second-period goals to lead the Orioles. Jackson Dwyer also scored for Osseo. Jack Campion, Parker Collins and Noah Weisjahn scored for the Falcons.

Eden Prairie 6, Brainerd 2: John Mittelstadt powered the Eagles past the Warriors with two goals and two assists. Jack Jensen added a goal and two assists. Axel Rosenlund made 29 saves.

Girls' hockey

Duluth 8, Princeton 7 (OT): Annika Lindgren scored her second goal to finish the high scoring matchup with the Tigers. She also had two assists. Duluth's Cassie McClure and Princeton's Maddy Peterson both scored hat tricks. Elaina Benson and Noelle Stellmark had two and one goals, respectively, for Duluth. Kallie Abrahamson and Sydney Eckert rounded out the game's scoring with two goals each for the Tigers.

Mound Westonka 2, St. Francis/North Branch 1 (OT): The Class 1A, No. 4 White Hawks avoided an upset when Emily Schepers set up Lauren Burris with the power-play goal. Mound Westonka looked like it was going to win with less than a minute remaining, but Jenna Kurkowski scored on a power play with 43 seconds remaining. Brooke Pioske scored the game's first goal for the White Hawks.
