Fernando Rodney joined camp on Thursday, taking part in fielding drills and getting to know his new teammates. Rodney, signed to a $4.5 million deal with an option for 2019, missed Wednesday's workout to take care of a personal matter.
"I feel pretty good," Rodney said. "I feel like I'm home."
Rodney will throw in the bullpen on Friday.
"It was good to see Fernando here," Twins manager Paul Molitor said. "He missed out on some of the verbiage (Wednesday) in regards to fundamentals, but we just kinda pulled him aside and had him watch and observe some of the stuff so he could get a feel."
Kyle Gibson returned to camp on Thursday after having his arbitration hearing on Wednesday in Arizona. He wouldn't say much about his case.
The Twins want to pay Gibson $4.2 million this season, while Gibson has requested $4.55 million. It appears to be a bridgeable gap, but Mike Foltynewicz has him beat. The Braves righthander went to arbitration over a $100,000 difference - and lost.
"It's just part of the process, really," Gibson said. "It is designed to help teams and players alike and with the help comes a solution and at some point when they make their decision we'll have a solution."
Gibson threw in the bullpen on Thursday.

Eduardo Escobar reported to camp on Thursday, driving over from his home in Davie, Fla., near Miami. After helping the Twins reach the postseason last year, Escobar has one thing on his mind this year. "More champagne," he said.
Michael Pineda, rehabbing from elbow surgery, still took part in fielding drills on Thursday, working with the same group as Rodney.
Former Twins Kent Hrbek and Tim Laudner visited camp on Thursday.
