Soaking rain will turn to wet snow in an area spanning El Paso through Midland.

A heavy accumulation of wet snow measuring 6 inches or more could occur in this region. The highest accumulation would most likely happen over hilly tracts of the western Texas Panhandle and southern New Mexico.

Accumulating snow will have the potential to snarl travel along interstate highways I-10 and I-20 in the corridor between Midland and El Paso.
