Plan now for Back to the 50s

Start making your plans for the annual giant car show, Back to the 50s, at the Minnesota State Fairgrounds. The Minnesota Street Rod Association's (MSRA) 36th Annual Back to the 50s event will occur on June 19, 20 and 21. Friday and Saturday times are 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday times are 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. The event will host more than 11,000 street rods, custom classics and restored vehicles, all dating from 1964 and earlier. The weekend is filled with tons of automobiles, music, food and fun. Admission is $10 for adults; kids 12 and under are free with each paid adult. Also, get $2 off the admission price by purchasing advance adult discount tickets that are for sale at all participating O'Reilly Auto Parts and Parts City stores. Back to the 50s parking shuttles

And speaking of Back to the 50s, event planners will offer park-and-ride shuttle service this year on Saturday only from three locations. You can plan to park at the Mall of America, at the Southeast corner of 24th Avenue and 82nd Street in Bloomington, for a $3 charge. Or, you can park at the ETC Building parking lot at Energy Park Drive, just east of Snelling Avenue at no charge. Or, free parking also is available at the Minnesota Department of Education parking lot, east of Target and north of County Road B.
