1 Harts. This Aussie continues to prove he has the "it" factor with his single "21 & 19." Its funky, cool vibe suggests Prince and Lenny Kravitz.
2 Denny. This local modern pop trio is my pick for best group of 2018. The single "Something Furious" is sure to be a summer hit.
3 Donna Grantis. I saw the debut of her jazz-rock fusion band in 2017 at the Dakota. (She returns there Wednesday.) She's an adventurous guitarist who isn't afraid to push boundaries.

1 Ana Moura, the Dakota. The Portuguese fado star was mesmerizing once again, and she premiered a cool song she co-wrote with Prince, "Dream of Fire."
2 Cardi B, "Saturday Night Live." Her outfits (a black/white number and a baby bump-revealing gown) were as beguiling as her songs.
3 Rock the Garden lineup. From Kamasi Washington to POS, the diversity is a testament to the variety of music played on the Current.
