A 61-year-old St. Paul man was arrested on suspicion of aggravated assault after he allegedly tossed scalding coffee on another man at a Salvation Army center in St. Paul, authorities said.

The man allegedly cut in front of another man who was waiting in line with his pregnant wife, according to St. Paul police. After an argument, the first man tossed the coffee at the husband, who was taken to a hospital for treatment of blistering burns on his back, police said. The woman was not injured.

The man has not been charged, St. Paul police spokesman Sgt. Mike Ernster said Saturday.
