Smith, James Warren Age 69 of Rockford, IL. Born in Muncy, PA July 2, 1946, passed away August 17, 2015 in Rockford, IL. Jim is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Clara Lee, beloved daughter, Jennifer (Punkin') Wynthier Smith Jett, beautiful grandchildren Jackson James Ford Jett and Ivy Wynthier Jett, and many loving and wonderful friends. He and the family moved to the Twin Cities in 1976 and made their home in 1981 in Columbia Heights. He and Clara retired and moved to Rockford, IL in 2013. Since 1981 he was a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Columbia Heights. His career with Sears began in 1967, in Wausau, WI until he retired from the company in 2014. He was a loyal Green Bay Packers fan, an avid Parrot Head, and an accomplished master carpenter. The family is grateful for the love and support we received during his illness. He was predeceased by his parents Warren and Edna Smith; brother Randy Smith; and grandson Grayson Paul Earl Jett. There will be no services. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to your local Humane Society of American in Jim's name.
