Benzoni, Peter F. Passed away unexpectedly at his home on July 23, 2015 in Apple Valley at the age of 60. Peter is survived by his brother and sister in law, Dan and Debbie Bensoni of Saginaw, MN and their 4 children. Peter was preceded in death by his parents Peter and Mary Benzoni, one sister (Laurie Tipka) and his brother in law and best friend (Doug Tipka). Peter was born on July 4, 1955 in Ironwood, Michigan. He graduated from Duluth East High School in 1973 and the U of M (Duluth) in 1977. He taught English in the Rochester School district and worked as a sales rep for Chiquita Banana until he joined the United States Postal Service in 1988. After 23 years of service he retired in 2011. Peter loved spending winters at his Ft. Meyer, Florida condo. He is remembered by family and friends as a generous and loving man with a lifelong passion for public service and volunteer work. A funeral is scheduled for 12:00 pm on Saturday, August 8 at the Lakewood Cemetery Chapel at 3600 Hennepin Ave. Mpls. MN. Visitation is 1/2 hour prior to service.
