Keith Rosenblum

Rosenblum, Keith Age 63, of Minneapolis, gracefully passed into the hands of God on July 27, 2015. His beloved wife Carol was at his side holding his hand; always holding his hand. Preceded in death by parents Sidney Rosenblum and Nancy & Billy Galloway. Survived by loving wife of 38 years Carol, brother Bruce Galloway (Karen), brothers-in-law Timothy Duffy (Debbie) and Peter Duffy (Cathy), sisters-in-law Maureen Harris (Steve) and Catherine Robertson (Mike) and much-loved nieces and nephews Matt, Kevin, Leah (Kurt), Michael, Clare (Shane), Erin, Liam, Tyler and Hannah. Keith graduated from Kent State University where he met Carol, the love of his life. His career as a GIA-certified gemologist took him all over the world with bases in Ohio, then New York City, and finally Minneapolis where he eventually found a home at Graham Jewelers in Wayzata. For 27 years, Keith and Carol enjoyed all the Twin Cities had to offer: live music, theater, dance, visual arts and best of all - cruising around the lakes in "Nelson," his 1974 pimento red Triumph TR6, which he restored himself. An accomplished guitarist and singer, Keith had a passion for music that began in his teens. He enjoyed playing and listening to both jazz and classical music and sang with the Gilbert & Sullivan Light Opera Company at Kent State. Keith wrote poetry and dabbled as a cartoonist. He was a member of Mensa with a sharp wit, wry humor and a joke for every occasion. If you never heard him recite a limerick, poor you. Keith served on the Advisory Board of the Family Program at The Retreat. He respectfully requests no flowers; memorials in his name preferred to the Family Program Scholarship Fund at The Retreat, 1221 East Wayzata Blvd., Wayzata, MN 55391. A celebration of Keith's life will be held on Friday, August 14 at 2 p.m. with visitation 1/2 hour prior, Lakewood Cemetery Chapel, 3600 Hennepin Ave. S., Minneapolis, MN.
