Margaret Ann '(Peggy)' Korba

Korba, Margaret (Peggy) Ann age 69, of Richfield, MN, passed away unexpectedly at home in the arms of her husband on July 18, 2015 after a long battle with chronic pain since 1999. Born on May 24, 1946 in San Diego, CA. Graduated from Bloomington Lincoln High School in 1964. Preceded in death by daughter, Kelley Ann Korba; mother, Allie Mae Garrity; father, Robert W. Garrity; brothers, Patrick and Edward Garrity; and sister-in-law, Dona Garrity. Survived by husband of 48 years, Jerry D. Korba; son, Jeffrey D. Korba; sister, Mary Garrity (Gerry DuBay); brother, Thomas Garrity; sisters-in-law, Jacquelyn D. Wentworth (Charles) and Barbara Garrity; nieces, Jennifer Garrity, Kristi Baer (Rich) and Leah Garrity; nephews, Brian Garrity (Lisa), Eric Garrity, Michael and Daniel Trewartha, and Jared Garrity, and the sunshine of her life, granddaughter, Kendra Middleton. Peggy treasured her dear life-long friends, loved people, canoeing, hummingbirds, the Bee Gees, banana cream pie, yogurt, and just being goofy. Never missed an opportunity to send a card to family or friends on their birthday or Valentine's Day. Talked to and was comfortable with everyone she met. A feisty Irish lass who was beautiful, charming, smart, witty, and sophisticated, yet down to earth. Straight "A" student at the University of MN (for one quarter), was employed at Toro, Patterson Dental, Libby Glass, Richfield American Legion, Guest Travel, Executive Travel, and Korba & Blonigan, P.A. A Guthrie Theater subscriber and member of Portland Avenue United Methodist Church. Peggy's family (she who must be obeyed) would be honored to have your presence at a Celebration of her Life on Friday, August 14, 2015 at the Sheraton Hotel, 5601 W. 78th Street, Bloomington, MN (formerly Hotel L' Sofitel, NW corner of I-494 and Hwy 100). PLEASE NO FLOWERS, GIFTS, OR MEMORIALS. Visitation at 10:30-11:30 a.m. and again after brunch which will be served at approx. 12:15 p.m. Peggy would prefer we laugh, not cry. A life well lived.
