Sommers, Kathleen Loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother, age 84, born October 24, 1930, of Crystal, passed away peacefully at N. C. Little Memorial Hospice July 6, 2015. Love for life, friends, family and helping others sum up Kay's wonderful life. Kay is preceded in death by husbands John Stedman and Donald Sommers. She will be greatly missed by her sons, Mark (Becky), Lee (Bonnie), Jeff (Holly) and Alan (Sherry); ten grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sisters Joan Gunsolus & Barbara Sigurbjornsson. A celebration of Kay's life will be held on Saturday, July 11 at the Hennepin Ave. United Methodist Church, 511 Groveland Ave., Mpls. The gathering is to be held at 10:00 AM followed by Celebration of Life Service at 11:00 and lunch. Kay has donated her body to the University of MN Anatomy Bequest Program.
