Bassin, Lori Jo Age 59, passed away peacefully (surrounded by her loving friends and family). Preceded in death by parents Sidney and Shirley Bassin. Survived by loving, devoted soulmate and life partner of 21 years, Jay Julius; brother and sister-in-law, Jeff Bassin and Jane Harris; nephew and niece, Gabe Bassin and Sophie Bassin; special cousin, Barry Spector; god-daughter Rachel Chern; and adored cat, Erik. Lori lived her life with courage, tenacity, intelligence, humor and style. Although she had many medical challenges, she persevered and was able to see many of her dreams come true. She was passionate about her career as a psychologist and animals, especially her horses Fanny and Duke. Lori also had a great appreciation for the arts. She was an avid reader, loved to attend movies and theatre and enjoyed dining out with friends. Lori will be deeply missed but never forgotten by her many friends, relatives and clients who cared for, supported and loved her throughout her life. A special thank you to Dr. Noelle Nelson, Dr. Barry Cabuay, and Dr. Thomas Davin and all of the Allina care givers whom Lori had a loving relationship with.
