McGie, Frank Joseph age 89, of Southwest Mpls., passed away June 30, 2015. Preceded in death by his parents, Claude and Rhea; and wife, Delores. Survived by children, John (Nyla) of Maple Grove, Bill (Wendy) of Bloomington, Peggy (Bill) VanDeRiet of Stillwater, Mike (Sandy) of Eagan; 13 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Lecher of St. Paul; brother, Jim of Plymouth; nieces, nephews and friends. Frank served with U.S. Navy during WWII. He graduated from Southwest High School in 1943 and received his degree in aeronautical engineering from the U of M, where he also lettered in football. He loved family gatherings, watching and attending sporting events. Frank will be deeply missed by all who loved and knew him. Interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
