Anderson, Clayton O. 84 of Spicer died Saturday, June 27, 2015 at his home in Spicer. Funeral Service will be 11:00 AM Monday, July 6, 2015 at Mount Olivet Lutheran Church, 5025 Knox Ave. S, Minneapolis with visitation 1 hour prior to the service at church. Private interment will be in Spicer City Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home, New London. hafh.org Clayton was born March 16, 1931 to Ole and Petra (Peterson) Anderson in Echo, Minnesota. June 23, 1951 Clayton married his 8th grade sweetheart, Nona Wenholz. He attended the University of Minnesota and graduated in 1954 with a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering. After college, Clayton proudly served in the U.S. Army. He was the former owner of Steel Structure Construction and also worked for Phoenix Steel in Eau Claire, WI and Opus in Minneapolis. Clayton was an avid sports fan. He loved Green Lake and spending time with family. Clayton and Nona also enjoyed spending time together traveling. Clayton is survived by his wife of 64 years, Nona; his children: Jeff (Lori) Anderson of Edina, David Anderson of Orinda, CA; grandchildren: Spencer, Hannah (Johnny) Meeker, Camille, Gavin; siblings: Orleen (Burton) Weidemann of Willmar, Jerry (Karen) Anderson of Minneapolis; and many family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Arnold Anderson.
