Hanily, Charles Michael (Mike) age 71, of St. Cloud, MN, passed away on May 25, 2015. Preceded in death by his parents, John and Ruth, and brother Jack. Survived by brother Pat (Ginny), nieces, nephews, extended family and a legion of fierce friends and admirers. Mike began his adult life as an educator at Alexander Ramsey High School in Roseville, Minnesota, and remained a teacher of others to the very end. With an infectious enthusiasm, Mike invited his many, many friends over the years to join in one outlandish scheme after another -- each a teachable moment for all involved. Beloved friend, Mike possessed an eccentric charm and outrageous wit. His mischievous personality was always on display. From the haphazardly curated flea market treasures that filled his home to his riotous sense of humor, he was always - uniquely - Mike. Mike had many loves in his life. The deepest was a fishing camp he carved out of the Ontario wilderness while still a young man. Obsessed with collecting antiques, books, artwork, and friends, Mike surrounded himself with curiosities and interest. He loved wood, tools and construction (especially demolition), but mostly Mike loved sharing good conversation and tall tales while passing the time. Mike was also deeply loved. A father-figure to those very much in need and a dedicated mentor to countless others, Mike profoundly shaped and influenced the lives of so many. His kindness could never be fully repaid. Mike will be dearly missed. A gathering in Mike's name will be held in St. Cloud at a later date.
