Thon, Jeffrey Vernon age 60, passed away May 19, 2015 at Univ. of Minnesota Hospital, while awaiting a lung transplant. He was diagnosed with Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis in the summer of 2014. Jeff was born August 27, 1954, to parents William and Evelyn Thon, in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Along with his parents and two sisters, he grew up on the same street as his Grandmother, three uncles, their wives and many cousins. Many fond memories were made in the Thon neighborhood: Grandma's famous French pancakes, homemade donuts, and brownies to name a few. Jeffrey was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his loving wife, Minda Lee Thon; his daughter Tristan Louise (Luke) Hough, grandchildren Noah, Charlotte and Hudson Hough, his son William Jeffrey Thon, stepdaughters Gabrielle Sines and Lauren Perry, all of Anchorage, AK and sisters, Anita (Mark) Forde of Minneapolis, MN, and Sandee (Tom) Garigen, of Conway, SC. Jeff also leaves behind his Uncle, Clifford (Carol) Thon; cousins: Mark (Jill) Thon, Kathy (Bill) Abel, Beth (Keith) Randklev, Patty (Joe) Ewalt, Stacy Thon/Val Goligowski, Steve (Debbie) Thon, Susan (John) O'Donnell, Teresa (Brian) Rudie, Tom Thon, Tim Thon; many nieces, nephews, countless friends, hunting buddies - all who were like brothers and sisters to him. The family asks in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Rotary Fund International, or The Children's Lunchbox.
