Raen, Lillian age 97, of St. Louis Park, passed away May 23, 2015. Preceded in death by husbands, David Wartnick and Julius Raen; son, Harry Wartnick. Survived by daughter-in-law, Joan Pollitt; brother, David (Meryl) Himmelman; grandchildren, Bobbie Reiss, Sheila Lebedenko, Dima Lebedenko, Stuart Pollitt, Daniel Pollitt; great-grandchildren, Charlotta, Leo, and Gisselle Lebedenko and Julian Reiss. Survived by many loving nieces, nephews, many friends and special friend, Irene Bartram. Lil was a delight to be around, kind, considerate and had a great sense of humor. She was passionate about her family, many charitable organizations, bridge, the Democratic Party and the North High Class of '36. Lil was very proud to be a representative to tell the history of life in North Minneapolis and was invited to speak at many engagements. She enjoyed spending winters in Miami Beach for over 40 years and acquired many friends there, too. The family would like to thank Gerri Jacques and the help for their care of Lil. Graveside services have been held. A Celebration of Lillian's Life will be held WEDNESDAY, JUNE 17TH, 7:00 PM, in the Harry F. Wartnick Room, Roitenberg Assisted Living, 3610 Phillips Pkwy, St. Louis Park. Memorials preferred to the Harry F. Wartnick Fund at Sholom Alliance or donor's favorite charity.
