Sundem, Vern Nels Age 77 of Mpls, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 17, 2015 due to complications of Parkinson's disease. Vern was a loving son, husband, dad, grandpa, brother and great friend to many. Vern is survived by his devoted wife, Dee; beloved mother, Pearl; children Greg (Susan) and Sue (Scott); grandchildren, Ben, Nicole, Tim and Adam; brother, Terry (Marilyn) and many other family and friends. Although diagnosed with Parkinson's, he never let that define him handling it with grace, dignity and a large dose of sarcastic humor. Celebration of Life Service will be held at 4:00 pm Friday, June 12 at Mt Olivet Lutheran Church 5025 Knox Ave S Mpls. Visitation 3:00 pm. Memorials preferred to National Parkinson Foundation of MN, U of M Dept of Neurology or Mt Olivet.
