John A. Grudnoske

Grudnoske, John A. Was born April 8, 1938 and passed away suddenly in Crystal on May 24, 2015 at the age of 77. Jack grew up in Arden Hills, the oldest of four children. He graduated from Mounds View High School in 1957. He was drafted into the Tank Division of the Army Reserves in 1962 and served until 1968. He worked for T.A. Schifsky and Sons for over 40 years and worked as a blade operator throughout his career. He was also a member of the Operating Engineers Local #49. Jack's retirement winters were spent in Apache Junction, AZ where he made several "best friends." He was known as a BIG teddy bear and always had a nickname for everyone. He was always there to assist anyone in any way he could. Jack spent the summers with his daughters and grandchildren in Minnesota and Montana. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, camping, shooting skeet, watching NASCAR and helping with farming in Montana. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. He was preceded in death by daughter, Nicole Grudnoske; parents, Harold and Lucille; infant brother, Bruce. Survived by daughters, Renee (Thomas) Hannan and Michelle (Kelly) Toavs; grandchildren, John and Kristin Miller, Jason, Kaitlyn and Braeden Toavs; brothers, Gerald and Leonard (Cheryl); nieces and nephews, Wayne (Denise) Grudnoske, Natasha (Dan) Sinagoga and Christopher (Sara) Grudnoske; mother of their children, Sharon Grudnoske. Memorial service will be 11 am Saturday, May 30 at Gearty Delmore Robbinsdale Chapel, 3888 W. Broadway, with visitation after 10 am. Interment St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery, New Brighton. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Lustre Christian High School, 294 Lustre Road, Lustre, MT 59225 or to the VFW Post 7968, 250 S. Phelps Dr., Apache Junction, AZ 85120.
