Barbara Ann 'Bobbie' Walker

Walker, Barbara Ann "Bobbie" 83, of St. Paul, MN, passed away on May 22, 2015. Born in LaPlata, Maryland on December 6, 1931. Bobbie graduated from the University of Miami with a B.B.A. Management and earned a Master's Degree in Psychology from St. Mary's College. Bobbie worked as a Psychologist for Fairview Pain Management Clinic; Bobbie Walker & Assoc. and as Counselor and Consultant specializing in older adult issues and family counseling. Published Hazelden-HCI Education material: "The Elderly: A Guide to Counselors" and "Caring and Coping: For Family Members of Older Adults in Recovery". She had a passion for traveling, being in nature, gardening, choral singing, movies, the theater and spending time with family and friends. Bobbie is survived by her brother Joe McDonagh; children: Walter Walker (Deb) of Brooklyn Park; Barbara Field (Samuel) of Southampton, UK; Roger Walker (Lois) of Saint Paul; Olivia Walker (Jim) of Woodbury; Joshua Walker (Deb) of Eagan; Christopher Walker (Deanna) of St. Paul; her loving nieces and nephews, grandchildren, along with the rest of her family and many special friends. A Celebration of Life and Joy will be held Saturday, May 30, 12:00 pm, at Minnesota Valley Unitarian Univer-salists Fellowship Church at 10715 Zenith Avenue S., Bloomington, MN. A reception will be held immediately following the service on site. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to Joseph's Coat, 1107 7th St. W., St. Paul, MN 55102.
