MacNeil, Michael John Age 54, died unexpectedly in his home on January 20, 2015 in San Francisco, CA. Michael was born to parents Donald MacNeil and Sandra Kleusch on March 12, 1960 in Rice Lake, WI. He grew up in Chicago with his brother, and spent summers in Rice Lake. 1986, he married Teresa Roop and had a daughter later that year. In 1989, he graduated Anoka Technical College with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and became a private pilot and enjoyed flying his Cessna 172 and building a Kit Fox experimental airplane. In 2005, he divorced and moved to CA and continued his education by receiving a degree in English and Nursing. Michael was an avid traveler and went to various countries including: India, Egypt, China, Japan, Pakistan, Australia, Netherlands, United Arab Emirates, Switzerland, and South Africa. Michael is survived by his daughter, Shawn MacNeil; his father, Donald L. MacNeil; his brothers, John R. MacNeil and Donald H. MacNeil; his uncle, John MacNeil; and his cousins, Mario Miller and Michelle Miller. He is preceded in death by his mother, Sandra Kleusch; his brother, Kevin MacNeil; his grandmothers, Virginia MacNeil and Luella Gianonne; his grandfathers, John W. MacNeil and Patrick Gianonne; and his aunt, Nancy MacNeil. A memorial service will be held at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 111 W. Marshall St., Rice Lake, WI 54868 this Saturday at 9:00 am.
