Virginia Lee Marshall

Marshall, Virginia Lee Died 12/2/ 2014 of natural causes. A memorial service will be held at Highland Park Church on Saturday, May 30, 2015 at 11:00 am. Virginia was born in Casper, July 7, 1926 to Ralph Ellsworth & Muriel Irene Carpenter. She attended Casper schools, graduating from NCHS, going on to study voice at Casper College with Ava Shields, later studying with Courtney Profitt. In 1946 she married James L. Fuller and they were blessed with four children. Virginia continued performing with her lyric soprano voice in many programs, including singing with the Casper Symphony. She later worked with church choirs at the First Congregational, Shepherd of the Hills Presbyterian & First Presbyterian churches. She was active in Fine Arts, Community Concerts, Blue Envelope, United Way, & Chapter Y of PEO. Virginia was a member of Highland Park Church and served with Women in the Word for many years. In later years she went into real estate & worked for Heizer Realty and then Stratton Real Estate. She was later remarried in 1978 to Virgil Marshall. They built and ran the Chicken Coop Restaurant, later known as the Chef's Coop. Mr. Marshall passed away in February 2005. Virginia is survived by two daughters, and her sister Doris Whetham of Casper, a step-daughter, two grandsons, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Virgil, son James E. Fuller, daughter Sally Fetters, brother R. D. Carpenter and his wife Bobbie Carpenter, step-son Bruce and her parents. Memorials to Central Hospice & Blue Envelope would be deeply appreciated.
