Anhalt, James G. Age 73, of Blaine, passed away April 29. Preceded in death by his wife, Mary; daughter, Barbara. Survived by children, Kenneth (Martha), Diane (Thomas) Gioia, Carol (Rick) Raeuber; twelve grandchildren; three great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers memorial preferred to the Anoka Animal Society. James was a wonderful, helpful neighbor always straight forward. He was an honorably discharged veteran serving three tours in Vietnam with the US Army. He was well decorated and his medals included the Silver Star, Vietnam Cross of Gallantry with Palm, the Purple Heart and others. James loved gardening, fishing and was a strong advocate of animal rights. Funeral service will be Friday, May 8, 2015 at 10:30AM at our Coon Rapids Chapel. Visitation will be Thursday, May 7, from 6-8 PM and one hour before the service on Friday.
