Cavello, Marion (Burhite) age 89, of Peoria, Arizona, passed away April 23, 2015 at Arrowhead Hospital. Marion left her home in Minnesota at age 19 to support the war effort and was proud of her job as a "Rosie the Riveter" at Luke Air Force Base, Phoenix, Arizona during WWII. While there she met her husband Joe. They moved to Columbus, Ohio in 1946, raised their three children and returned to Phoenix, Arizona in 1979 to spend their retirement years. Marion was an accomplished seamstress, a good friend, a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and devoted wife. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Cavello; son, John Cavello (Rose); daughter-in-law, Kathleen Cull Cavello; parents, Gilbert and Florence (Hallbeck); her brothers, Frank, Gilbert (Jan) and Raymond (Kay); her sister, Ethel (Jack), Florence (John), Ruth (Wally), Marjorie (Cliff), and Kathleen. Survivors include her son, Dominic J. Cavello (Sarah) and her daughter, Karen Montell (Tom); grandchildren, Joe Cavello, Melissa Wright, Christopher Cavello, Dominic A. Cavello, Kate Berndt (Michael), Joe Rothwell, Allyson White (Kris); great-grandchildren, Angelea, Lani, Johnny, Michael, Sophia and Haven. She was also blessed with many nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, April 28, 2015 at 1 p.m. at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 3801 E. Greenway Rd., Phoenix, Arizona. Burial will follow at Paradise Memorial Gardens, 9300 E. Shea, Scottsdale, Arizona. In lieu flowers, the family asks that contributions be made to the American Heart or Lung Association.
