Mendoza, Monika I. After a protracted battle with breast cancer, Monika Irena Mendoza passed away peacefully in her sleep on April 25, 2015 in Golden Valley, MN at the age of 41. She leaves behind her husband, Glenn Men-doza; her daughter, Maia; and her son, Evan; mother, Harriet Kuc and father, Joseph Kuc, Sr.; as well as her sister, Renatka Kontaris; brothers, Joe, Greg and Chris Kuc; and many nieces and nephews. When diagnosed with breast cancer in 2008, she remained dedicated in her efforts as a mother, wife, sister, friend, and in her will to fight her illness. She remained a brave, positive and ever smiling woman throughout her battle with cancer.
