Chicos, Susan K. age 57, of Corpus Christi, TX, formerly of Dodge Center, passed away on April 20th in Minneapolis, MN after a short illness. Susan was born February 8, 1958 in Owatonna, MN to Roger and Mary Lou (Dunagan) Chicos. Sue was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Lou. Survivors include her husband of 31 years, Gary Kuusisto of Corpus Christi, TX, father, Roger of Dodge Center, MN, sister, Sally of St. Louis Park, MN, brothers: Dave and Dale (Lisa) of Dodge Center, MN, and Dennis (Irene) of Eagan, MN. Other survivors include numerous nieces and nephews. Sue graduated from Dodge Center High School in 1976. She received her Bachelor Degree from Southwest State University, Marshall, MN in 1979, and her Juris Doctor from Santa Clara University, Santa Clara, CA in 1993. She passed the Texas and Connecticut State Bar exams and was licensed in both states. Sue lived in California, Texas, Connecticut, and London, England. In 2004, they moved to Corpus Christi, where she opened her own legal practice focusing on adoptions and guardianships. She had a special place in her heart for animals, and rescued many dogs and cats. Visitation will be at Pax Christi Catholic Community in Eden Prairie, MN on Friday, May 15th beginning at 10 a.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be at St Margaret Cemetery, Mantorville, MN at a later date. Memorials preferred.
