Waalen, Myrtle I. "Myrt" (Nelson) (nee Bjerke) Age 90, of Brooklyn Park, passed away February 23, 2015. Born in Webber Township Havana, ND, January 11, 1925 to Martin L. Bjerke and Clara (Nokleby). She was proud of her Norwegian heritage. Preceded in death by husbands, James Waalen and Oscar Nelson; sister, Dagny and husband, Jamie Benavides; and brother, Lester Bjerke. Survived by children, Connie (James) Huss, Richard (Sally) Nelson, Renee (Sac) Johnson, and Gayle (Paul) Jentz; 4 grandchildren, Greg (Barb) Huss, Gary (Becky) Huss, Aurelia (Chris) Holmes, and Jesse Johnson; 7 great-grandchildren, Kyle, Tyler, Hannah, Cameron, Severine, Oscar, Dwight, and George.
