Peterson, Marie "Mary Lou" Age 85, of Golden Valley. Preceded in death by son Ron, brother Clarence Brandell and brother-in-law John Povilaitis. Survived by husband Harold; son and daughter in law Don and Nancy Peterson and their sons Zach, Sam & Aaron, and Ron's son Nicholas; sister Betty Jane Povilaitis; sister-in-law Lucille Brandell and nieces and nephews. She was the daughter of Swedish immigrants and was extremely proud of her heritage. Although she referred to herself as a "Tough Swede", many people knew her as "The Hugger". Longtime member of Good Templars and Calvary Lutheran Church of Golden Valley. Funeral 11 AM Friday, April 24th, at Calvary Lutheran Church, 7520 Golden Valley Rd. Visitation Thursday 4-7 PM at Gearty-Delmore Plymouth Chapel, 15800 37th Ave N. @ Vicksburg Lane and Friday at church one hour before service. Int. Lakewood.
