Evers, Helen A. Born September 20, 1919 of Minne-tonka, beloved mother and grandmother went peacefully to her eternal home with her Lord and Savior on April 15, 2015. She leaves behind her daughter Carol (Merfeld), 7 step-grandchildren and 11 step-great-grandchildren; all who brought much joy into her life and that she loved deeply and unconditionally. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Charles (Chuck), mother and father, Lethel and Edward Straka, sister, Joyce, and son-in-law, Bert Merfeld. Helen will be missed by friends and relatives in Minneapolis and Glenville, and Newton, Iowa, her neighbors on Woodland Circle, friends from Grace Trinity Church where she was a member since her teens, her bible study, friends made through her doll collecting, and many more. She devoted her life to her faith and her husband and daughter, a selfless woman who was dedicated to caring for others before herself. She leaves a huge hole in many hearts but she looked forward to her glorious journey to eternity.
