Bakken, JoAnn E. "Jo" (Lafferty) age 76 of Aitkin, passed peacefully at home on Thursday, April 16. She is survived by her spouse David, sister Lola (Don), son Michael (Lisa), daughter Brenda Polis (Michael), and five grandchildren. Born May 30, 1938 in Aitkin, MN, JoAnn was the youngest of five daughters. She resided in Brooklyn Park, MN, where she raised her family, cared for her mother and in-laws, and worked at Northwestern Bell for over 30 years. "JoMama" loved to cook for family and friends leaving none hungry. We will miss her gentle, nurturing spirit. Thank you to her many family members and friends for their continued prayers and support.
