Wood, Ann Chase Age 80 of Edina, passed away on April 15, 2015 after a brief battle with inflammatory breast cancer. Ann was an avid crafter, achieving considerable artistry. She started with crewel, then moved to needlepoint, and finally to cross stitch late in life. She also collaborated with her second husband Belford on his HO model railroads, constructing buildings and scenery. Born Ann Crawford Chase on April 7, 1935 in Minneapolis to Avis Chase (née Litzenberg) and Chauncey Chase, she was a Minnesotan at heart. Still, she earned her BA in Political Science from Stanford University in 1957, and then raised her children in Little Silver and Middletown, NJ. She returned to Minneapolis after her children were grown to be near her older sister and best friend Betty (Elizabeth) Wheelock (Ward). Preceded in death by Betty in 2008 and Belford in 2013. Survived by son William G. Griswold (Maureen C. Feeley) and their children Atticus J. Griswold and Hannah C. Griswold; and daughter Rebecca J. Reid (Brian Reid) and their children Kathryn A.
