Boom, Elaine nee Segale Age 72 of pancreatic cancer at the home of her daughter and family in Dallas, TX on April 15, 2015. Survived by her beloved husband of almost 47 years, Dennis; her much loved daughter, Elizabeth and son-in-law, Sean Furrh, and three cherished grandchildren, Annabelle, Sofia and Ian; brother, Ralph Segale, Orlando, FL and sister-in-law, Carol Segale of New Hope; niece, Kathleen Johnston and nephew Charles Segale and his wife, Cheryl; 8 cousins and was also a dear friend to many and was an example of what it means to enjoy life, savor your family and be grateful to God for the many blessings He provides and His promise of eternal life. She was preceded in death by her parents, Evelyn and Joseph Segale. Elaine and Dennis owned and operated the Holcomb-Henry-Boom Funeral Homes for many years. Upon their retirement in 1999, they spent their winters at their condo in Honolulu. Elaine was a 1960 graduate of Visitation and a long-time member of their Sed Vitae Society. She was a 1964 graduate of Loretta Heights College in Denver. She then was an elementary teacher in St. Paul for 17 years. She was a member of the Daughters of the Nile, Mat Sha Temple #62, where she was Queen in 2000, and Egyptian Temple #33 in Honolulu, the Osman Women's Auxiliary of Shrine Hospital, White Bear Chapter #200 O.E.S., Assistance League of Honolulu and Newcomers Club of Honolulu. Visitation Saturday, April 18th from 4-6 PM and also on Sunday, April 19th from 2-6 PM at THE HOLCOMB-HENRY-BOOM-PURCELL FUNERAL HOME, 515 Highway 96 W., at Mackubin, Shoreview. Mass of Christian Burial 11:00 AM Monday, April 20th (visitation from 10-11 AM) at the CHURCH OF ST. ODILIA, 3495 N. Victoria, Shoreview, followed by a luncheon. Interment to follow at Calvary Cemetery. Memorials preferred to Osman Women's Auxiliary for Shrine Hospital, Visitation School or donor's favorite charity.
