Hanson, Mary Lou (Sorenson) age 87. Loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend died peacefully surrounded by her family April 12, 2015. Lovingly known as the "Cookie lady," Mary Lou's heart of gold touched the lives of many. She cherished family above all else. Mary Lou spent 70 years, 11 months, and 7 days married to the love of her life, and her sweetheart, Kenny. Survived by husband, Kenny; son, Gary (Susan) Hanson; daughters, Cindy (Jim) Samuelson and Cheryl (Kent) Larson; daughter in-law, Laura Hanson; Grandchildren, Jeremie, Molly, and Lily Hanson; Kelsea Vandergriff; Nick (Lindsay) Larson; Patrick (Angela) Samuelson; Amy (Aaron) Diederich; and 7 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her son, Greg Hanson; brother, Ray Sorenson; sisters, Margaret Millard and Jeanne Handy. We love you more today than yesterday, but less than tomorrow. A celebration of her life will be held May 2, 2015, at Cremation Society of MN - Edina, 7110 France Ave S. at 1 pm. Memorials preferred to the Alzheimer's Association or Fairview Hospice.
