Larry E. Etlicher

Etlicher, Larry Eugene age 76, passed away quietly March 29, 2015. His wife and best friend for 56 1/2 years, Marcia, was by his bedside when Larry went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ His sons and daughters-in-law were at their parents' home and had spent time with him throughout the day. PSP took Larry's life, but not his spirit. Larry enjoyed his solitude, but also loved being with family and the activity that large families create. He enjoyed bicycling and it had to be fast! His bike accident in 2008 ended bike riding because of the serious neck injury, but one year later he bought a Tri Cruiser recumbent trike and though slower, he rode again. Larry was a gentle, kind and funny man, with a great sense of humor. His smile and eyes showed his thoughts on days when words wouldn't come. We all miss his smile. Larry and Marcia retired in 2005 and enjoyed every day being together. They both loved to travel and accomplished their goal to visit all 50 states the fall of 2010. Special thanks to Pastors' John, Terri and Jason for Thursday afternoon prayers. Larry was at peace when he died Sunday. Preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Pansy Etlicher. Survived by his wife, Marcia; sons Daniel, Michael (Amy) and Jeffrey (Elizabeth) all from the metro area; sisters, Bonnie and Barbara (Donald); brothers, LaRue (Marie), Laurel (Mary), Lyle, Paul (Barbara) and Michael (Sandy); 26 nieces and nephews. No flowers, please. Memorial gifts to Foundation of Redeemer Lutheran Church.
