Martha A. (Barden) Myszka

Myszka, Martha A. (nee Barden) Age 93, of St. Paul, died on Saturday evening March 28, 2015. Martha was born on May 22, 1921 and raised on a farm in Wase-ca, Minnesota. Married Walter Myszka on June 20, 1942. Loving mother to 4 daughters and a homemaker in Mankato, Minnesota. Well known for her pies (especially cherry) and her Robert Redford dessert. She and Walter loved to ballroom dance to the big bands and singers of the 40's and 50's. One of their favorite dance songs was "Spanish Eyes" by Al Martino. After Walter's retirement they moved to Edina, Minnesota. She was very proud of her Irish heritage and direct family link to Roscommon and Meath Counties Ireland. Preceded in death by husband Walter Theodore and infant daughter Mary Suzanne, as well as parents Ambrose and Margaret, 3 brothers, Richard, John Vincent (Gladys), and Jerome, and one sister Mary Cleary (Jack), and many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Survived by daughters, Ann Byers, Clare Ginter, Maureen (Greg) Fischbach, and Marguerite (Peg) Myszka; sister, Margaret (Peggy) Ward; sister-in-law, Mary Barden of Rochester, Minnesota; 8 grandchildren, and 7 great-grand-children. Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM Wednesday, April 1 at Lumen Christi Catholic Church (2055 Bohland Ave., St. Paul). Visitation 4-7 PM Tuesday, March 31 at O'Halloran and Murphy Funeral Home (575 S. Snelling Ave., St. Paul 651-698-0796) and also one hour prior to Mass at church. Interment Ft. Snelling National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Our Lady of Peace Hospice.
