O'Neill, Jerry of Columbia Heights, age 65, passed away peacefully on March 19th, 2015 surrounded by family. Jerry is survived by his best friend and wife of 34 years, Colleen O'Neill; daughters, Molly O'Neill (Marquese Brown), Caitlin Attwill (Kim); adored granddaughter, Mya O'Neill and his sweet dog, Sugar. Jerry held a strong belief that doing what you love enriches your life and the lives of others. This was driven by a solid work ethic. He held three union cards in construction yet he returned to school when his children were born to care for them by day while attending school at night and graduating with honors, earning two Associate degrees. He was a licensed real estate appraiser and became one of the first Home Inspectors licensed in Minnesota by the American Society of Home Inspection. He was proud of the home inspection business he built with a foundation of honesty and experience. He lived a rich life, loved a good story and always had a joke ready to brighten somebody's day. He will be greatly missed, but we are better because of his love, strength and humor. There will be a celebration of his life on April 9th, 2015 in NE Minneapolis.
