Zenzen, Lillian Lillian Zenzen, daughter of Swedish immigrants David and Victoria Lundblad, was born and raised in NE Mpls. She married John Zenzen May 31, 1941. Together with business partners, Gene and Ruth Anttila, Lillian and John owned and operated Jack's Parkway IGA in Mpls and Parkway IGA Foodliner in St. Paul. In the late 1970s, Lillian became owner/operator of a Ben Franklin Variety Store in Plymouth, MN and maintained a flourishing business there for several years. Upon retirement, Lillian and John wintered in Ft. Myers, FL at the Kelly Green Golfing Community. Both were enthusiatic golfers and enjoyed many hours on the course with friends and relatives. Lillian died peacefully at Methodist Hospital on Sunday, March 22, 2015. She was preceded in death by John Zenzen, her huband of 69 years; parents, David and Victoria Lundblad; sister, Elsie Lundblad Capistrant and brother, Einar Lundblad. She is survived by daughters, Janis (Herbert Woods) Zenzen and Geraldine Zenzen; niece, Sherie (Bob) Danner; nephew, David (Shirley) Capistrant; brother-in-law, Bill Capistrant; great niece, Reneé (Tim Kinney) Capistrant and children, Inga, Anya, Elsa, and Trigg; great nephew, Charles Capistrant; great nephew, Nick (Sheila) Capistrant and children, Will and Eli; and many friends. Lillian was a kind and gracious woman and will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Memorial service Gethsemane Lutheran Church, 715 Minnetonka Mills Road, Hopkins, MN at 11 AM Saturday, April 4 with visitation at the church 10-11 AM prior to the service. Memorials preferred to Gethsemane Lutheran Church or charity of donor's choice.
