Strom, Lester M. "Les" Age 94, of Mpls. Les was born on the home farm in McIntosh, MN on January 13, 1921 and died on March 16, 2015. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 64 years, Tressa; and great-granddaught- er, Sophia. He served in the US Army with the 7th Infantry Division in WWII. Les was a self-employed carpenter, homebuilder and extraordinary woodworker. He was a member of Lake Nokomis Lutheran Church since 1948. His greatest joy, he often said, was his family. He is survived by sons, James (Elaine) and Jon (Patricia); daughters, Janet (Lee) Nelson and Joan (Gary) Johnson; six grandchildren, Christopher, Adam, Sally, Leah, Benjamin and Madeline; and nine great-grand-children. The family is very appreciative for the care and compassion provided by the Minnesota Masonic Home and Fairview Southdale Hospital. Memorials are preferred to Lake Nokomis Lutheran Church, the Salvation Army or to donor's choice.
