Diaz, Genevieve of Minneapolis, passed away March 1, 2015. She was 95. She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband Arthur Nor-gren; second husband Joseph Diaz; sister Shirley Putt; stepson Jim Diaz; and granddaughter Kristin Solsvig. She worked for the Minneapolis Public Library for more than 20 years and was active in the AFSCME Union. She was involved with Young at Heart at Mount Olivet Church, Minnehaha Seniors, AARP, and the American Swedish Institute. She is survived by her twin daughters Debrah Solsvig (Gary) of Monroe, Ohio and Diane Johnson (Rod) of Burnsville; stepchildren Tom Diaz (Jerrilyn), John Diaz (Rhonda), Karen Marolt (Joe); grandchildren Keith Solsvig (Sarah), Scott Solsvig (Courtney), Kirk Johnson, and Heather Champion (Ian); 6 great-grandchildren; step-grand-children; and step-great-grand-children. Gen will be remembered for her passion, enthusiasm, and deep love of her family and friends. Her sparkle and smile will be missed by all who knew her. The family will receive friends at Morris Nilsen Funeral Chapel, 6527 Portland Ave. S., Richfield on Saturday, March 7, 2015 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service will take place at 11:00 AM.
