Friedman, Paul H. age 90, of Minnetonka, passed away peacefully February 28, 2015. Survived by loving family: wife, Sandra; son, Kirk (Donna); son-in-law, John Williams; and grandchildren, Molly, Sam, Jennifer and Andrew. Preceded in death by parents, Ida and William; and daughter, Kathie F. Williams. Paul grew up in Minneapolis, graduated from Southwest High, and during World War II served in the U.S. Navy. He moved to New York City in 1952 intent on becoming an actor, and chose instead to marry Sandra Kirk. The two returned to Minneapolis in 1953, where they built family, friends and community over 60 years. During these six decades, Paul continued to write songs, some of which premiered in cabaret performances. Joyful and outgoing, Paul enhanced the lives of all he met with his distinct laughter and good cheer. Much appreciation to the staffs at Sholom Home West and Rointenberg Memory Care.
